New CDI Chemical and Biological Weapons Website http://www.cdi.org/issues/cbw/

The new Chemical and Biological Weapons website of the US-based Center for Defense Information (CDI) includes profiles of countries possessing chemical and biological weapons, information about the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) and the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC), and links to CDI and outside resources on chem-bio issues.

Landmines: Call for Researchers

Liz Bernstein from the International Campaign to Ban Landmines in Canada <    > is circulating this Call which includes:

• Landmine Monitor Report 1999: Executive Summary (also available in Arabic, French, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish)
• Research Application Form for Landmine Monitor Report 2000 (note: deadline of 23 August 1999)
• Landmine Monitor Report 2000 Production Schedule
• Landmine Monitor Report 1999 Evaluation Form (for LM 1999 researchers only)

The first 1,100-page report, Landmine Monitor 1999: Toward a Mine-Free World, was released at the First Meeting of States Parties in Maputo in May 1999, along with a 49-page Executive Summary. The second report and summary will be released at the second meeting in September  2000 in Geneva, Switzerland.

"NATO Has Installed A Reign Of Terror in Kosovo"

This is the main title of a mini-series of three articles by Prof. Michel Chossudovsky which are actually his contribution to the Independent Commission of Inquiry to Investigate U.S./NATO War Crimes Against The People of Yugoslavia at New York on July 31, 1999.  The three articles are entitled:

• Part II: From Krajina to Kosovo: The Shape of Things to Come
